The water queen
The Puppies, with Meatball and Fudge, interpret the famous fairy tale 'The Water Queen' in their own way.
The rabbit Cilindro will play the part of Kai and the duck Diva that of Gerda. After various adventures and clashes between the characters, Cilindro will be kidnapped and hypnotised by the Water Queen, who will take him to her palace. Her evil plan is to steal all the water flowing in the kingdom... Meatball, Caramella and Gerda - helped by the young spectators - go on a mission to free Kai and stop the Queen's plan.
This retelling of Andersen's famous fairy tale focuses on the importance of making proper use of water: a limited, exhaustible and all too often wasted resource.
We decided to tackle the subject of saving water and its conscious use in everyday life because it is an incredibly topical issue. And since we are addressing children, who are always one step ahead of adults - and are often much more receptive to certain topics than they are - it seemed an excellent opportunity to convey such an important message through a fairy tale.
